200-hr Online/Virtual Training 

January 15 - September 24, 2021

Embark upon a training composed of topics culminating into a program of self- growth and development through living and studying the practice of yoga. Upon completion, participants are eligible for registration with Yoga Alliance as a 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200).

  • Study of The Mind/Psychology & Yoga 

  • Viewing of films related to yoga, service, and yogic lifestyle 

  • Pranayama (breath techniques) 

  • Meditation techniques 

  • Posture alignment and modifications 

  • Karma Yoga/Seva - giving back through service 

  • Nutrition 

  • The Energy Body 

  • Yoga's Past & Present 

  • Anatomy for Teaching Yoga 

  • Supervised Practice Teaching 

  • Techniques of Teaching 

  • Principles of Movement & Alignment 

  • Verbal, Demonstration, & Directive Assists 

  • Sequencing 

  • Teaching to a Diverse Student Population 

  • Injury Prevention 

  • Compassionate Teaching

Certification Requirements

  • Complete all written assignments and reading

  • Attend (live or online) 20 classes over the course of the training & keep journal

  • Practice teach (as assigned)

  • Complete service project

  • Complete and pass final take home exam

  • Complete and pass final teaching assignment

  • Upon completion of the program, participants will receive a certificate of completion. becoming eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as a Registered Yoga Teacher. 


The curriculum for the course will be offered on an online learning platform. Content will be loaded to the platform on a regular basis with live checkins with the lead trainer scheduled throughout the training. All live sessions will be recorded and on the learning platform for later viewing (if participant can't make live session). Participants will be required to set up practice teaching sessions outside of scheduled training sessions. Pre-recorded content can be viewed at your own pace and time, and this program can be joined from anywhere in the world. As needed, additional checkins will be added to the schedule.

  • Please note that January 15 & September 24 fall on Friday - we meet on Tuesdays for all other checkins  

  • Upon course launch, you will receive a schedule & syllabus with recommended assignment due dates for completing the training in the 9-month period. This is recommended and not required as this is a self-paced course.
