The videos have been uploaded to Vimeo and shortly after registration you will receive video links and supporting resources. Assignment will be due to Dr. Jessica Johnson for course credit. Outline of Content Structure:
Session 1: An overview of evidence-based medicine as it applies to the yoga practice and an identification of the potential for yoga as a tool for health within the framework of modern medicine
Session 2: Application of yoga, meditation and mindfulness to common medical ailments, and in the reverse, a modern-medicine informed approach to the practice of yoga, particularly when dealing with special populations (I.e. post-surgical, menstruating, pregnant, large bodied)
+ 1 hour non-contact assignment
